Today, I would like to dedicate the article to Subodh Gupta, a wonderful and unusual contemporary artist and sculptor from India. Subodh was born in 1964. After graduating from high school, Gupta joined the theater group and at that period, when working as an actor, he began to draw posters for plays. After, he studied at the College of Arts in Patna, combining it with part-time illustrator job and designer in newspapers and magazines. Now Subodh lives and works in New Delhi in India and creates his beautiful masterpieces. He has become famous gradually.
The artist's sculptures has been exhibited in many museums and art fairs around the world. Gupta believes that dividing art into Western and non-Western is meaningless, because the language of art is the same everywhere in the world and there is a lot of personal and hidden. Subodh works with different materials and is constantly experimenting as well as painting and creating in different styles. The works clearly express military theme and famine. Popular steel Indian dishes, which can be found in every Indian's house, is a tool for creativity.
His works are in many private and permanent collections of many museums in the world.
This is an unusual artist and sculptor with his own inner philosophy.
Have a look at sculptural and pictorial works of Subodh Gupta.
